“The Triple Roll is one of the prettiest of all Uke strokes. It is a very simple stroke too, when analyzed! Just follow the simple stages below one step at a time! Soon you will get the ‘knack’! Yes Sir!

“Bring forefinger down across all four strings where neck joins body of Uke. Bring that old fingernail down so that it glides smoothly on the strings. That sounds just swell! Practise this again and again and again! Then follow with thumb down. After forefinger leaves last string bring ball of thumb down across strings. Then bring first finger up. As thumb leaves last string, bring the ball or fleshy part of forefinger up across all four strings. Yes Sir! Forefinger should begin to go up the very second that little old thumb leaves the last string! Say! That sounds like a million dollars! You, good buddy, have just mastered yourself the TRIPLE ROLL!!!”
